　　One morning when a vixen was taking her babies out of the lair, she saw a lioness and her cub.

　　Look at my healthy and numerous children here, and imagine, if you are able, how a proud mother should feel.

　　The lioness said calmly, Yes, just look at that beautiful collection. What are they? Foxes! Ive only one, but remember, that one is a lion.

　　一天清早，雌狐貍帶著她的孩子走出巢穴，看見了母獅子和她的孩子。

　　為什么你只有一個孩子，夫人?雌狐貍問，看我這群健康的孩子，如果有能力，一個驕傲的.媽媽應(yīng)該多養(yǎng)一些孩子。

　　母獅平靜地說：是呀，看看這漂亮的一大群，他們都是狐貍!我只有一個，可他畢竟是一頭獅子。

　　貴重的價值在于質(zhì)，而不在于量。

　　A little panda picks up a pumpkin and wants to take it home. But the pumpkin is too big. The panda can’t take it home.

　　一只小熊貓摘了一只大南瓜，想把它拿回家。但是這只南瓜太大了，她沒有辦法把這么大的'南瓜帶回家。

　　Suddenly she sees a bear riding a bike toward her. She watches the bike. “I know! I have a good idea.” she jumps and shouts happily, “I can roll a pumpkin. It’s like a wheel.”

　　突然她看見一只狗熊騎著一輛自行車朝她這邊來。她看著自行車，跳著說：“有了！我有辦法了。我可以把南瓜滾回家去。南瓜好像車輪。

　　So she rolls the pumpkin to her home. When her mother sees the big pumpkin, she is surprised, “Oh, my God! How can you carry it home?” the little panda answers proudly, “I can’t lift it, but I can roll it.” Her mother smiled and says，“What a clever girl!”

　　于是她把那瓜滾回家。當(dāng)她媽媽看到這只大南瓜的時候，很驚訝：“天啊！這么食的南瓜！你是怎么把它帶回家來的？”小熊貓自豪地說；“我拎不動它，可是我能滾動它��！”她媽媽微笑著說：“真聰明��！”

　　The Crow and The Pitcher

　　A crow felt very thirsty. He looked for water everywhere. Finally, he found a pitcher.

　　But there was not a lot of water in the pitcher. His beak could not reach it. He tried again and again, but still could not touch the water.

　　When he was about to give up, an idea came to him. He took a pebble and dropped it into the pitcher.

　　Then he took another and dropped it in.

　　Gradually, the water rose, and the crow was able to drink the water.

　　口渴的烏鴉

　　一只烏鴉口渴了，到處找水喝。終于，他找到了一個大水罐。

　　然而，水罐里面的`水并不多，他的尖嘴夠不到水面，他試了一次又一次，都沒有成功。

　　就在他想放棄的時候，他突然想到一個主意。烏鴉叼來了一塊小石子投到水罐里，接著又叼了一塊又一塊石頭放進去。

　　寓意：有些東西雖然看起來微不足道，但如果積少成多，便會帶來很大變化。

　　Mike is a little boy. He is only five years old. He is too small to go to school. So he can not read and write.

　　One day he stood at my desk with a pencil in his hand. There was a big piece of paper on the desk. He wanted to draw a picture of himself. He drew lines and cleared them out, then drew more and cleared them out again. When I looked at the picture, he wasn't happy. "Well," he said at last to me, "I'll put a tail on it and make it a monkey."

　　He began to add the tail. I began to laugh.
