　　考研英語翻譯真題演練(2007考研英語真題為例)

　　在研究考研英語閱讀的同時(shí)，我們需要花些時(shí)間掌握翻譯的技巧以及通過不斷練習(xí)減少失分點(diǎn)。復(fù)習(xí)不應(yīng)只看英文以及對(duì)應(yīng)的中文，因?yàn)橹豢磿?huì)感覺我也會(huì)，但是一旦自己動(dòng)手翻會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)問題百出，因此今天老師帶領(lǐng)大家就一篇學(xué)生的翻譯進(jìn)行講解，看看自己是不是有類似通病。

　　(46) Traditionally, legal learning has been viewed in such institutions as the special preserve of lawyers, rather than a necessary part of the intellectual equipment of an educated person.就傳統(tǒng)而言，法律知識(shí)在一些學(xué)校中已經(jīng)被看作是律師們的特殊領(lǐng)域，而不是一個(gè)受過良好教育的人知識(shí)儲(chǔ)備中所必需具備的一部分。批注：該句中有as，可以與其搭配的view...as和such as，根據(jù)句義來看，是與view搭配的，把...視為...，該學(xué)生的理解是對(duì)的，問題是沒有把such翻譯出來，指代的是上述的一些學(xué)校不能僅僅翻譯為一些。special preserve是固定搭配，專門工作或者特殊權(quán)利。這里取專門工作的意思。

　　(47)On the other, it links these concepts to everyday realities in a manner which is parallel to the links journalists forge on a daily basis as they cover and comment on the news.另一方面，法律以某種方式將這些概念與每天的現(xiàn)實(shí)聯(lián)系起來，這種方式與記者每天報(bào)道新聞和評(píng)論新聞的方式相類似。批注：該句翻譯得很好，沒有問題。

　　(48) But the idea that the journalist must understand the law more profoundly than an ordinary citizen rests on an understanding of the established conventions and special responsibilities of the news media.然而觀點(diǎn)認(rèn)為比起普通人，記者必須對(duì)法律有更深遠(yuǎn)的理解，這取決于他們對(duì)于已經(jīng)完善的條例的理解以及對(duì)于新聞媒體的特殊責(zé)任。批注：rest on是基于而不是取決于的意思。注意形容詞的翻譯要盡量準(zhǔn)確，establish是建立的意思，形容詞是建立好的，翻譯為既有的，而沒有完善的意思。從整個(gè)句式來看，可以這樣來譯：新聞?dòng)浾弑绕胀ㄈ?...,這一觀點(diǎn)基于....。

　　(49) In fact, it is difficult to see how journalists who do not have a clear grasp of the basic features of the Canadian Constitution can do a competent job on political stories.事實(shí)上，那些對(duì)于加拿大憲法的基本特征沒有清晰把握的.記者們是很難勝任政治報(bào)道這項(xiàng)工作的。Difficult不是來修飾記者們的，而是很難去想象....。

　　(50) While comment and reaction from lawyers may enhance stories, it is preferable for journalists to rely on their own notions of significance and make their own judgments.然而，來自律師們的評(píng)論和反應(yīng)也許可以增強(qiáng)故事情節(jié)，但是對(duì)于記者們而言，他們更偏愛依靠他們自己對(duì)于重大事件的理解并作出自己的判斷。While盡管、雖然;stories是新聞的意思，而非故事。
